Roundtop, TX

The magical place in Roundtop, TX is the prestigious Roundtop Festival Institute. Our dear friend Leslie introduced us to this place because of the music scholars that come from around the world to attend the institute! We had a blast walking the grounds and taking pictures of such a awe inspiring place.

After our impromptu photo shoot we made it to Antique Show in Roundtop, TX. This place is known for having fields upon fields filled some many things you can imagine wanting. I picked out a fabulous turquoise ring, and the girls all got matching bug bracelets. That's right.

We of course found a red wagon for the boys and hauled them around everywhere! They absolutely enjoyed it. What a FUN time in Roundtop. We will have to make another trip out to this fun town.
No stop isn't complete without getting kolaches and fruit pastry's. WE of course stopped at the Czech stop and raised our peace sign to the city of West. We really like to support small businesses. What a great weekend and on to the next road trip!

[austin] keepin it weird!

Yes, we made it to Austin!! This family trip was something we needed to take to end the summer with a bang!  We thought why not drive out to Austin and have a blast! We of course decided to go camping and skip the traditional way of staying in a hotel. This was a great decision because the boys absolutely like camping. So follow our journey as we navigate the streets of Austin.

Boys and legos. He insisted to take them with him.

We of course had an injury. Andre fell and scraped his knee and was pretty bummed about it.

What a great find in Austin. We stopped by this pastry shop and had the most delicious chocolate croissant my favorite.
To our surprise the bakery was having a FREE snow-cone event. Complete with bubbles, friends and treats. I like finding random local events hosted by small businesses, makes a innocent visit that much cooler.

When you visit Zilker park you must ride the train. This by far is the longest train that we rode on that is in a park setting. This was  something that the boys enjoyed, and the view of the downtown is spectacular. We also enjoyed watching the kayakers stream across the lady bird lake.

We made it to the Barton Springs and this spring is so cold, but refreshing. This is the icing on the cake because the day was so hot and the boys really enjoyed taking splashes.

The photo op in front of the State Park was so much fun!! We had a great time and I know that we will return to Austin and hang out on SOCO next time. Comment below with places we should visit.
